Turkey: Erdogan blames Istanbul blast on suicide bomber of ‘Syrian origin’

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned what he described as "an attack by a suicide bomber" at Istanbul`s Sultanahmet Square earlier on Tuesday during a speech in Ankara. Speaking from the Ambassador`s Conference hall, the President went on to highlight that the alleged perpetrator was of "Syrian origin". SOT, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey (Turkish): "Right in the beginning of my speech, I would like to condemn the terror incident in Istanbul, assessed to be an attack by a suicide bomber with Syrian origin. Unfortunately we have 10 dead, including foreigners and Turkish nationals. I assume that it will be announced in half an hour or so.
